The latest addition to its fleet are two Volvo B8RLE MCV eVoRas in the smaller 10.8 metre variant, which are perfectly suited for driving on the tight and winding north-west Wales roads.
Already the feedback from the drivers and passengers has been very good, with the drivers enjoying the manoeuvrability and the passengers enjoying a quiet ride.
The 38-seat vehicles are being used seven days a week on a local bus route between Pwllheli and Porthmadog, located on the edge of the scenic Snowdonia National Park.
Eryl Jones, one of the owners, said: “The new MCV eVoRas have been superb. Although we have previously bought Volvo coaches, this is the first time we have specified a new Volvo bus. They are a very welcome addition to our fleet and because they measure 10.8 metres they are ideal for the twisty rural roads in the area, which can also be very hilly.”
Caelloi Motors can trace its history back to 1851 when it was founded by Tomos Huws and it continues to be a family-run business serving the Lleyn Peninsula and north Wales.
Philip Hudson, Regional Account Manager at Volvo Bus UK & Ireland, said: “With a heavy-duty chassis, the Volvo B8RLE MCV eVoRa is the ideal vehicle to withstand the daily rigours in challenging driving conditions on a daily basis.”
