Director of Travelstar Gatwick, Maria Daubmey, said: “Just Go has hired the vehicle from us for in-bound sightseeing operations, so it was important for us to consider the needs of discerning passengers and specify a vehicle that ‘ticked all the boxes’.
“We have also received great feedback from the drivers, the vehicle is performing beyond expectations and we would definitely choose Volvo again.
“The Volvo B8R chassis is known for its reliability and efficiency, particularly with its Euro VI engine, so it was an easy choice for us to make. As an operator working with a travel provider, we want to ensure passengers have a safe and enjoyable journey and we know that with a Volvo we can confidently offer this.
Retail Bus and Coach Manager for Volvo, Richard Mann, said: “Maria and her team have been great to work with and I have been delighted to guide them through the order for their first Volvo vehicle. They kept their customer in mind throughout the entire process, so when it came to selecting the interior they opted for a more luxurious finish, so Just Go passengers can enjoy a ‘top class’ journey”.
Maria Daubmey continued: “Uptime is an important factor to us and our local Volvo Bus dealer has left us feeling confident in the knowledge that the team will always be on hand should we need them.”
The 34 seat vehicle ordered by Travelstar Gatwick includes full leather seats with individual USB ports, a rear kitchen area including a fridge and storage space. The B8R chassis also includes a range of safety features such as electronically controlled brakes and driver support systems.
Established in 2006, Travelstar Gatwick specialises in touring work and offers private hire of vehicles ranging from minibuses to full size coaches.
