Volvo Bus soars with Falcon Coaches

Hertfordshire based operator Falcon Coaches has taken delivery of a new Volvo B11R SC7 and two new B8R SB3 vehicles as the latest additions to their expanding fleet.

Falcon Coaches has taken delivery of two new Volvo B8R SB3 and a new B11R SC7 Euro 6 coach.

An established customer with a predominantly Volvo fleet, Falcon Coaches chose the B11R with SC7 as they wanted the fuel economy savings provided by the B11R chassis, coupled with the strong aesthetic appearance of the SC7. They also specified two 72 seater B8R SB3s to service a number of new school contracts.

Darren Nash, Owner of Falcon Coaches, said: “We were keen that the latest additions to our fleet would be Volvo. We have always found all of our Volvo coaches to be extremely reliable and have enjoyed excellent fuel consumption and operational performance.

“We required two to meet the needs of our increasing school contracts, so we decided the Volvo B8R was the right coach for us, with its large seating capacity and robust interior, suitable for frequent, everyday use.”

Volvo describes the B8R as an outstanding choice for school contract work with two plus three seating configuration and three point seatbelts, which allows operators to carry the younger generation passengers efficiently as well as in comfort and safety.

Darren added: “We have been impressed with the B11R SC7 that we purchased a couple of years ago and had no hesitation in a repeat purchase. The fact that it offers us a 53 passenger seating capacity is also great as this new vehicle is destined for use on a wide range of work including touring and corporate contracts.

“Once again we worked with Richard Mann, our Retail Coach Sales Manager, and received excellent advice and service throughout the purchasing and delivery process which has extended over a couple of months.”
