Earlier this year and due to its increased business success, City Circle needed to source two new coaches and Volvo was able to meet the company’s requirements in plenty of time for the start of the busy summer touring season.
The B11Rs both have 53 seat capacity and include all the expected features of today’s coach travel passenger with TV screens, DVD, hot drinks serveries, fridges and on-board toilets for the comfort and convenience of passengers.
Neil Pegg, Managing Director for City Circle explained: “We have two depots located in London and Edinburgh which service our UK and continental touring operations, and our busy 2014 schedule determined our need to source two new coaches as quickly as possible.
“Jo Standbridge, Volvo’s Regional Sales Manager who was extremely helpful throughout the process, was able to secure the coaches we needed in the required timeframe and we therefore had no hesitation in placing our order with Volvo for the two new B11Rs.”

The B11R is at the centre of Volvo’s next generation of coaches and the key features and benefits include the renowned Volvo I-Shift transmission, automatic function check and trouble-free maintenance. It also benefits from a range of Volvo’s well known safety features, such as the powerful EBS controlled disc brakes and a multiplexed electronics system.
