Indotruck Utama (ITU), had the opportunity to bring the premium Volvo B8R low entry bus to Bandung.

During the event, Eka Lovyan, COO of PT. Indotruck Utama shared the company’s extensive service network national wide and its outstanding aftermarket support, designed to keep operation up and running at all times, formed by a team of Volvo certified technicians. With years of experience supporting local transport operators, such as TransJakarta, Steady Safe in BRT operations in Jakarta, ITU is extremely confident to bring the expertise to Bandung for further BRT projects.
A four hours road test was arranged for participants to take a ride on the Volvo B8RLE bus from Bandung to Gedung Sate and Kertajati airport. The Volvo B8RLE city bus was introduced and made available to the Indonesian bus market in 2019. Manufactured in Sweden, using the industry known fuel-efficient D8A engine, the chassis is designed to optimize overall operating costs. Equipped with enhanced safety features, such as; electric braking system and disc brakes and ESP (Electronic Stability Program). This bus is also equipped with the Volvo I-coaching feature, which helps drivers improve their driving behavior by providing immediate feedback while on the go.
Bodied by CV. Laksana, one of the leading bus body builders in Indonesia. the bus is12 meters long, with wheelchair accessibility and has a capacity of up to 80 passenger. The low entry model makes quick entry and exit possible, ideal to meet the needs of urban traffic environments.
