Hong Kong’s largest bus operator The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited has awarded Volvo Buses for a further order of 46 B8L Euro VI double deck buses.
The newly awarded 46 Volvo B8L buses are scheduled to be delivered in Q2 2022 and follow a recent order of 40 units in late 2020, by then the total number of Volvo B8L will be over 500 units running on Hong Kong Road.
The Volvo B8L is well known for its superior fuel-efficiency, excellent passenger comfort and good drivability.
These newly acquired Volvo B8L will be built into a 12.8-meter bus, fitted with solar panels, and deliver a passenger capacity up to 141 passengers. The buses adopt the highest safety standards and will be fitted with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Downhill Road Speed Limit (DRSL) and three-point safety seat belts.
